Vijay Gopal Kovvali

Dr. Kovvali is a Professor of Practice at IIT Delhi and has over 25 years of experience in the transportation engineering field. Beyond joining IITD, Dr. Kovvali was an Associate Director with IBI Group and has led/participated-in diverse set of projects in public transit, intelligent transportation systems, road safety, traffic engineering, modelling, transit operations, multimodal integration and data analytics. Industry experience in road safety, traffic engineering & technology to conduct research on technological-based solutions for road safety problems. He also participated in multiple research projects including the FHWA’s Next Generation Simulation (NGSIM) program and FHWA’s Measures of Effectiveness projects.
